Travel Photos: Venice

These cold and misty winter photographs were taken between Christmas and the new year.

    I had visited Venice many times before, when seeing books on-press in nearby Verona, but only in peak season, when it was packed with tourists of course.

    During the cold winter months it has a totally different atmosphere. I particularly like the misty shots of the pigeons in St Mark's Square. The much lower sun makes the buildings change colour too.
