Website Design for Stone Product Manufacturer

My completely new design for Chilstone's website, features quick access to the most popular products by using a visual menu row of 'icon' photo-artworks along the top. All the categories are also listed in detail in the navigation on the left hand side.

    The home page displays a slide show of my location photographs of Chilstone's products. Currently the architectural section is popular so I have changed the home page photos to feature more architectural features.

    When any of the category links are clicked the visitor sees thumbnails of all the products only, with no distracting text. Rolling over any of the thumbnails reveals the product code and title as well as the price.

    The products in the architectural section are quite specialist, appealing to architects, so they are shown as diagrams that can be opened, or downloaded as PDFs for reference.

    The top navigation and on the left hand side have subtle shadows, these small details are consistent throughout and are an example of the fine detail I enjoy adding to all my website designs.

    The remaining part of the design process is making the administration pages of the site just as easy to understand for the client's staff. Chilstone's admin pages reflect the main website completely. Changing the distinctive central slug from rich blue to green, subtly reminds the user that they are logged into the admin pages.
