Website Designs for Mobile Veterinary Service

The Oaks Vet website uses simple, fun, iconic photographs from iStockPhotos to signpost the seven pages of the website.

    The brief was to appeal to everyone from hampster-owning children to elderly people with a cat or dog. The site also had to look practical and professional, so although tempting to make the website whaky, I had to restrict the fun element to the visual menu icons.

    I felt it was important to show photos of the actual Vet to re-assure possibly-nervous clients. So Anna brought in her own dog Molly, to be photographed in the studio. One of the photos is shown on the Pet Services page.

    The pricing structure uses a different fee for three different areas around the base town of Sevenoaks. I used the features in Google Maps to draw the three, roughly-circular areas on the map. The website visitor can then scroll around the map, the three areas remain in the same relative position. They also re-size if the map is enlarged or reduced.

    As part of the package, I have also designed a range of mini-posters to appear in pet shop windows and a complete range of stationery including; cards, compliments slips and letterheads.
